IDAHO FALLS — Bonneville County approved the creation of the College of Eastern Idaho after Tuesday's voting. Voters more than covered the two-thirds margin required to pass the measure to create a community college district. According to the Spokesman-Review this means that what is currently Eastern Idaho Technical College can now be converted into the new community college and expand it's enrollment options. Additionaly, the new CEI will now qualify for the $5 million in startup funding that lawmakers had already approved several years ago.
